Confidential Employee Counselling for Workplace Support
Employee Assistance Counselling
Employee Assistance Counselling provides confidential, short-term psychological support for employees who may be experiencing personal or work-related challenges. Through Adapt EAP, individuals can speak with qualified professionals in a safe and supportive environment to explore concerns, develop practical strategies, and improve overall wellbeing.
The service uses a solution-focused approach, designed to provide timely support and help individuals regain clarity and balance. Where longer-term care may be required, appropriate referral pathways can be discussed to ensure ongoing support.
How the Service Works
Employees can access confidential counselling through their organisation’s Employee Assistance Program. The number of sessions available, and whether immediate family members are covered, depends on the agreement between the organisation and Adapt EAP.
Appointments can be scheduled at times that suit the individual, with flexible access options designed to support employees when they need assistance.
All counselling sessions are confidential, and no personal information is shared with employers.
Areas of Support
Employees may access support for a wide range of personal and workplace concerns, including:
• workplace stress and burnout
• anxiety and low mood
• interpersonal or workplace conflict
• relationship and family concerns
• grief, trauma, or major life changes
• work–life balance challenges
• career and professional pressures
• addiction or substance use concerns
• financial or legal stress
• communication and relationship skills

This list is not exhaustive. Individuals are encouraged to reach out to discuss their specific situation.

Why Employee Counselling Matters
Employee wellbeing plays a significant role in workplace engagement, productivity, and team dynamics. Personal or emotional challenges can affect concentration, decision-making, and workplace relationships.
Providing access to confidential counselling allows organisations to support employees early, helping individuals address concerns before they escalate and maintaining a healthier workplace environment.
Through Adapt EAP, organisations provide their employees with professional support that encourages resilience, wellbeing, and sustainable performance at work.
